Food photography people can almost taste.

Menus, delivery listings, packaging and campaign images for restaurants, cloud kitchens, cafes and food brands, shot with real food and honest styling.

People order with their eyes. A biryani that looks dry in a delivery-app thumbnail will lose to a competitor whose rice glistens, whatever the recipe. Our food photography service in Pune is designed around that fact: appetite first, then information, then brand.

01

Food that photographs like it tastes

Food is perishable, fast-changing and unforgiving of poor light. Steam disappears in seconds, sauces form skins, ice melts, greens wilt under hot lamps. Good food photography is therefore as much choreography as camerawork. We prepare the set before the dish arrives, stand in with replicas for lighting tests, and shoot the real plate quickly while it is at its best.

We favour soft, directional light that shapes texture, because texture is what tells the eye a dish is fresh: the crackle of a crust, the sheen on a gravy, the grain in a rice dish. Colour is kept natural. Saturation that makes a curry look radioactive costs you trust the moment the real dish arrives at the table.

02

What we shoot

  • Menu and signature dishes for printed menus, websites and walls, photographed one by one with consistent angles.
  • Delivery and aggregator listings sized and styled for the platforms where customers actually browse, including tight crops that still read at thumbnail size.
  • Beverages and desserts, where glass, condensation, pour shots and colour need special lighting.
  • Packaged food and packaging for FMCG and D2C brands, from jars and pouches to meal boxes and sweets in gift packs.
  • Ingredient and raw material shots for spice, grain and produce brands, often on seamless white for catalogues and marketplaces.
  • Lifestyle and ambience frames of tables, hands, chefs and interiors that set the mood around the food.
03

Styling without lying

We style with real food. Our approach is to make the dish look its best while staying faithful to what is served: tidy plating, a garnish that belongs, a surface that suits the cuisine. We work with your chef to understand portion size and presentation, then refine the details that photograph well, such as the height of a stack, the placement of a sauce or the direction of steam.

Props and backgrounds are chosen for the brand, not the trend. A South Indian restaurant may suit banana leaf, steel and warm wood. A modern cafe may want pale ceramics and linen. A packaged-snack brand may need a bold, flat colour. We bring a selection of props and can source specific items if the concept calls for them.

04

In the studio or in your kitchen

Shooting at your restaurant keeps dishes fresh and lets us capture the room, the kitchen and the team in the same visit. Shooting in our studio gives complete control over light and backdrops, which suits packaged goods, beverages and bulk menu work. For larger menus we often combine both: hero dishes and ambience on site, ingredient and packaging shots in the studio.

On the day, we shoot tethered so your chef or marketing lead can approve each dish on a large screen before it is cleared. That keeps the reshoot rate close to zero.

05

Photography and video for food brands

Food is increasingly watched as much as it is seen. A ten-second pour, a slow cheese pull or a sizzling pan can do more on a short-form feed than any still. If your plan includes reels or shorts, consider shooting stills and clips in the same session. Our social media video service can plan both together, so lighting, styling and the kitchen’s time are used once.

06

Delivery and usage rights

You receive web, print and platform-ready versions of every image, plus a simple shot index so your team can match photos to menu items. Usage rights are confirmed in your quote, so tell us where the images will appear: your website, print menus, social media, aggregator platforms or a franchise network. We will make sure the licence covers it from day one.

07

Seasonal menus and ongoing work

Menus change, and so do offers. Many restaurants and brands set up a recurring arrangement: a day every quarter to photograph new dishes, seasonal specials and festival packs. Because we keep the lighting, backdrops and crops consistent, new images slot into old ones without anyone noticing a change. A fixed rhythm also helps your team plan marketing around fresh content, instead of scrambling for a photo the day before a launch.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you provide a food stylist?

Yes. Styling is part of our process, and for large or complex menus we bring in additional styling support. We will confirm what is included in the quote.

Can you shoot only a few hero dishes for our delivery listings?

Of course. Many restaurants start with their top ten sellers and expand later. We will keep the lighting and backdrop consistent so new dishes match the original set.

Do we need to bring the food to the studio?

Either option works. If you are close, bring the dishes freshly prepared and we will shoot immediately. If not, we can come to your kitchen and shoot there.

How many dishes can you photograph in a day?

It depends on the complexity. Simple plated dishes are quicker than layered desserts or beverages with pour shots. We will give you a realistic estimate when we see the menu.

Will the photos be accepted on delivery apps?

We deliver in the formats and dimensions those platforms recommend, with clean crops and sufficient resolution. Guidelines change, so share the latest requirements with us before the shoot.
